  • The Center for Simulation, Safety and Advanced Learning Technology (US)
    at the University of Florida hosts a large number of simulations and airway device videos for anesthesiology trainees and educators. A large number of pharmacokinetic, physiologic and simulations related to the anesthesia machine is offered. These award-winning simulations are advanced and very helpful to explain some integrated concepts.
  • Safe Fetus.com
    is a complete searchable database of worldwide medications (generic & trade names) providing information on the drugs' indications, fetal risk, breastfeeding risk, and safety during pregnancy according to the FDA pregnancy risk category. It also provides information on maternal exposures, it being physical agents, infectious agents or diseases, and how they may effect the unborn child.It is maintained by a fully qualified team, constituted of physicians and pharmacists.

    has a Creatinine Clearance converter as well as a number of other very useful calculators like an advanced opioid converter. As with all other Internet resources, the accuracy is not guaranteed.

  • Trip
    is an excellent clinical search engine designed to allow clinicians to quickly find answers to their clinical questions using the best available evidence. The TRIP database and method of searching allows the simultaneous searching of multiple sites, hence speeding up the question answering process. Results are broken down in categories that are clinically useful e.g. systematic reviews, primary research etc. You also have the ability to subscribe to a listserv that frequently send newly reviewed material.
  • Evidence Updates
    BMJ Group and McMaster University's Health Information Research Unit are collaborating to provide you with access to current best evidence from research. This service is unique: all citations (from over 120 premier clinical journals) are pre-rated for quality by research staff, then rated for clinical relevance and interest by at least 3 members of a worldwide panel of practicing physicians. You also have the ability to subscribe to a listserv that frequently send newly reviewed material.
  • Cochrane Collaboration
    Considered to be one of the world leaders in evidence-based health care, the Cochrane Collaboration is an international, independent, not-for-profit organization. Systematic reviews of healthcare interventions are published online in The Cochrane Library.
  • SUMSearch
    is a unique method of searching for medical evidence by using the Internet. It only queries Internet sites that contain evidence written by qualified professionals. The majority of the links provided by SUMSearch come from three Internet sites - the National Library of Medicine (NLM), DARE, and the National Guideline Clearinghouse (NGC).
