The Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society Neuroanesthesia Section National Virtual Round is a self-approved group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
The CAS Neuroanesthesia Section will host its last National Virtual Round of the year on November 8 at 8:00 p.m. ET. The Section hosts regular rounds on a variety of topics in neuroanesthesia, allowing the sharing of experiences across the country while building a more collegial neuroanesthesia community in Canada.
This Round is a key part of CAS' mandate to provide education to members to help them reach their professional goals. The event is complimentary for CAS members, but registration is required.

Vancouver General Hospital
Dr Amy Mitchell is a United Kingdom trained anesthesiologist currently undertaking her post completion of training fellowship in Neuroanesthesiology at Vancouver General Hospital, Canada. After graduating from the University of Nottingham in England, She completed her training programme within the East Midlands School of Anaesthesia, where she spent a significant amount of time at Nottingham Queens Medical Centre Hospital, developing her keen interest in Neuroanesthesia. She has also completed a fellowship within the John Radcliffe Hospital Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit in Oxford in 2017.

St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto
Dr Nunn is an anesthetist from Edinburgh, UK, on the Trauma Neuroanesthesia and Critical Care Program at St Michael’s Hospital, University of Toronto. He studied Pharmacology and Medicine at Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ School of Medicine, King’s College, University of London and undertook a 3 month elective in trauma at The University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg hospitals. He was then appointed as a junior doctor to the academic program at the University of Glasgow before entering the acute care common stem in Edinburgh involving training in Acute Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Anesthesia and Critical Care subsequently entering Anesthesia and Critical Care training, also in Edinburgh. Upon completion of training and with travel plans slightly affected by the pandemic, he was appointed as a fellow in critical care transport and ECMO intensive care at Glenfield Hospital, University of Leicester before finally making it to Toronto. He is due to return to a substantive post in Edinburgh January 2024.
