Call for Abstracts

Call for Abstracts is now open! Deadline to submit is January 26, 2025

The Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society is pleased to offer multiple ways for you to get involved in the Annual Meeting. Enhance your Annual Meeting experience by submitting an Abstract, Case Report/Series, or a Technical Booth. This gives you the opportunity to showcase your research in multiple formats and engage in a friendly competition with your colleagues.

The Annual Meeting Abstracts offer the opportunity of making your work known among the Canadian anesthesia community and competing for CAS abstracts awards. We welcome submissions from a diversity of subspecialties and areas of interest.

Top reasons why you should submit an abstract, case report/series, or technical booth:

  • Enhance your résumé - Presented Abstracts, Case Report/Series are published online in the Canadian Journal of Anesthesia.
  • Share your research - Expand your profile and share your knowledge in the greater anesthesiology community.
  • Network with colleagues - Make new connections and strengthen existing ones!
All submissions are pre-screened by the Abstracts Subcommittee. Accepted abstracts may be eligible for a Best Abstract Award in their specified category and will be included in poster sessions. The highest scoring abstracts are selected to compete in the Residents' Oral Competition or the Richard Knill Research Oral Competition. All abstracts presented at the meeting are published in the Canadian Journal of Anesthesia.

Technical Booth

CAS members can make a submission to request a technical booth to promote knowledge of a non-commercial product or service. This is a prime opportunity to showcase new advances to Annual Meeting delegates attending the exhibit hall. Up to two complimentary booths will be awarded.
